“This piece is inspired by my art-filled, zine-making, craft-obsessed high school years with a healthy dose of flair and an even healthier dose of cynicism and attitude. I doodled all over my marble notebooks, made zines on the backs of math worksheets, had a massive sticker collection, and made pins and Shrinky Dink charms obsessively with my friends (and then, taught others to do it in the 4 different art clubs I ran at my school). This piece uses many of the same materials I used then, with my actual sticker collection, and all of the same sarcasm I had then.”
